September 2007: Hybrid Audio Technologies Wins More First-Place Trophies
at the IASCA World Finals Than All Other Front-Stage Speaker
Manufacturers Combined.
Atlanta, GA – Hybrid Audio
Technologies-equipped vehicles win five of the possible nine World
Championship trophies at the recent IASCA® World Finals, showing
complete and unequivocal dominance by cars equipped with the Hybrid
Audio Technologies Legatia™-series product.
On the weekend of
September 15-16, the highest-level of car audio competition was convened
at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, the location of the world’s most
prestigious car audio competition and World Championships: the IASCA®
World Finals. Held in conjunction with the annual NOPI Nationals, which
serves host for more than 100,000 spectators and 7,000 show cars, the
stage was set for the most exciting car audio championships seen to
date. The competition was fierce, but once the dust had settled,
vehicles equipped with Hybrid Audio products won more World
Championships that all other front-stage speaker manufacturers combined,
winning five of the nine possible first-place trophies.
Team Hybrids, the
official competition team of Hybrid Audio Technologies (HAT), logged the
highest total score of the event in both divisions: Andy Jones had the
highest score in the Street category, also winning Semi-Pro Street, and
John Marsh had the highest score in the Ultimate category, also winning
Pro Ultimate; John’s score was higher than the Ultimate Expert ranks,
and represented the highest score of the entire event. John’s 1997
Mitsubishi Eclipse uses the Legatia L631-3 component system and Andy’s
2007 Nissan Altima uses the Legatia L641-3 component system. Rick
Sellers dominated the Amateur Ultimate ranks with his Dodge Dually,
taking home first-place honors in his class using a Legatia L631-3
component system. The most remarkable success story of the weekend for
HAT went to Dave Brooks, a do-it-yourself Rookie phenom out of Warner
Robins, Georgia driving a Harley Davidson Ford F250. Dave not only won
his class in Rookie, but also won the competition to decide who has the
best-sounding car in IASCA from the driver’s seat, also known as the
“Sound Quality Championship”, or SQC. The SQC class was packed with
former IASCA, USACi, and MECA World Champions, and Dave came out on top
with the best-sounding car in IASCA using the Legatia L831-3
component system. Backing up the five first-place finishes were a pair
of thirds from Rick Nichols and Hajji Grape, in the extremely tough Pro
Street and Semi-Pro Street classes, respectively.
“The Team Hybrids
competitors are true ambassadors to the sport of car audio and to Hybrid
Audio Technologies, and have once again established Hybrid Audio and
Legatia as the speaker brand of choice for winning world championship
trophies and ‘having the best sounding car in IASCA’” exclaimed Bill
Pleasant, Team Hybrids USA and Canada Team Coordinator. Scott Buwalda,
Founder of Hybrid Audio Technologies went on to say “these guys have
represented Hybrid Audio beyond my wildest expectations…and it was all
done using our Hybrid Audio product exclusively, with no other competing
manufacturer’s products. I couldn’t be happier right now.”
The showing by Hybrid
Audio-equipped vehicles represents the third year in a row that Hybrid
Audio has won two or more World Championships since being officially
founded in July 2005. With the EMMA and IASCA – UK wins in late August
and early September, Hybrid Audio-equipped vehicles have now won nine
(9) Championships in three different formats in the past four weeks. It
is total domination by Hybrid Audio.
